EasyJet’s winter 60-route expansion is largest yet

EasyJet has announced its largest new routes release with 60 new routes added to the upcoming winter 2024 season.

The new routes include 33 from 11 UK airports with inaugural flights to Tromso in Norway and Strasbourg in France for the first time.

Once up and running, the low cost carrier will offer more than a 1,000 routes to more than 160 airports across 36 different countries with fares leading in at £26.99.

EasyJet’s UK country manager Ali Gayward said Tromso would be served by three airports with twice weekly departures from London Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester.

Meanwhile, the year-round service from Gatwick to Strasbourg will operate three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.

Other UK airports receiving the additional routes include Luton with flights to Athens in Greece, Switzerland’s Basel and Djerba in Tunisia.

Manchester will also get a new flight to Djerba as well as a twice-weekly service to Akureyri in Northern Iceland.

Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow are the other airports to benefit from the additional routes.

Gayward said: “We’re delighted to be releasing an incredible range of new routes today for this winter, with 33 new services now available from 11 airports across the UK.

“Our flights and holidays are available for even more and brand new destinations including Tromso in Norway and the French city of Strasbourg, further strengthening our unrivalled short-haul European network and providing customers with even more fantastic choice and great value.”

The additional flights means easyJet now offers 584 routes to 136 destinations at 21 UK airports, to Europe and beyond.
