Singapore Airlines has unveiled new first class, business class, premium economy and economy class seats as part of an over S$2 billion (US$1.56 billion) investment in its new long-haul passenger experience.
The new cabin products will enter service progressively from the second half of 2027 on retrofitted Airbus A350-900 aircraft and the airline’s incoming Boeing 777-9 fleet.
The programme includes 41 A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft. The Boeing 777-9 will carry all four new cabin products. The A350 retrofit will introduce redesigned business class seats and, on the A350-900ULR, first class for the first time.
The airline announced the new cabin products, accompanied by a refresh of its inflight entertainment, dining, amenities, connectivity and lounges.
Singapore Airlines’ new cabin designs draw on research involving more than 5,000 frequent travellers, customers, employees and industry specialists.
New first class seats can form double beds
The new Singapore Airlines first class suites have curved sliding privacy doors. The centre pair can be converted into a two-seat sofa or a double bed measuring 80 inches long and 60 inches wide, which the airline describes as the largest double bed in commercial aviation. Each seat converts into an 80-inch fully flat bed.

Other features include companion dining, electronically adjustable seating, wireless charging, a 32-inch 4K entertainment screen and controls that can remember a passenger’s preferred seat and lighting settings.
The 777-9 will have six first class seats, while the A350-900ULR will have four.
Business class adds privacy doors and companion beds
Singapore Airlines’ new business class seat features sliding privacy doors, adjustable dividers between centre seats and selected pairs that can be arranged as companion beds.

The fully flat bed measures 79 inches long and up to 24 inches wide. The airline has redesigned the dining table stowage to create more foot space when passengers are lying down. The seats also include adjustable support, wireless charging and entertainment screens of up to 22 inches, depending on aircraft type.

The new business class product will be fitted to both the 777-9 and the retrofitted A350 aircraft.
Collins Aerospace is manufacturing the first class, premium economy and economy seats. RECARO Aircraft Seating will supply business class seats.
Singapore Airlines recruited top industry designers to reimagine its passenger experience. The airline said PriestmanGoode designed the new first class, Designworks designed business class, and Factorydesign designed premium economy and economy class.
“While each cabin has been designed individually, they are united by the same ambition to make the experience more comfortable, flexible, and rewarding for our customers,” said Lee Lik Hsin, Singapore Airlines’ chief commercial officer.
Premium economy, economy and onboard technology
Singapore Airlines said the premium economy and economy products will offer improvements in comfort, space, convenience and entertainment.

Both classes will feature the next-generation KrisWorld system, with 4K touchscreens and more than 2,500 entertainment options across the new offering.

The system will also support Bluetooth headphone pairing, spatial audio, revised navigation and wellness content. The airline plans Starlink-based high-speed connectivity for its A380 and A350-900 long-haul and ULR aircraft.
Singapore Airlines also announced over 100 new or refreshed dishes and expanded beverage choices across all cabin classes.
The airline will introduce new amenity kits from November 2026, including SISLEY products in Suites and First Class and BYREDO products in business class. Business class passengers will also receive sleeper suits for the first time.
On the ground, the airline said it has invested more than S$130 million (US$101.5 million) to upgrade and expand its SilverKris lounges.
“This launch marks another major milestone in Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience,” said Mr Goh Choon Phong, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Airlines, adding that it was “not an endpoint, but another step in our continuous pursuit to earn and retain the trust and loyalty of our customers, and reinforce our leadership in the airline industry.”
The airline has not yet announced the first routes to receive the new seats. Its latest timetable places the rollout to begin in the second half of 2027.
