What to expect from Airbus at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026

Airbus will bring its A350-1000 flying display, along with a range of commercial and defence static displays to Farnborough International Airshow 2026.

Airbus will be present at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 showcasing its commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence platforms and uncrewed systems, and highlighting its long-term investment in the UK.

Visitors can expect daily flying displays, a strong static aircraft presence and technology exhibits spanning Airbus’ commercial aviation, defence, helicopters and space programmes.

A350-1000 headlines Airbus flying display

The centrepiece of Airbus’ flying programme will be the Airbus A350-1000, which will perform daily from Monday through Friday.

The widebody aircraft will fly on a 30% blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), demonstrating its role in the industry’s transition to lower-carbon operations.

The A350-1000 remains Airbus’ flagship long-haul passenger aircraft, attracting airline interest for its fuel efficiency, long range and passenger comfort.

Commercial aircraft on static display

Airbus will also bring two of its most important commercial aircraft programmes to the static park during the first half of the show.

Airbus A321XLR

United Airlines will display its Airbus A321XLR from Monday to Wednesday, allowing visitors to see the world’s longest-range single-aisle airliner up close.

The A321XLR has become one of Airbus’ most successful recent programmes, enabling airlines to launch long-haul routes that were previously uneconomical to serve with larger aircraft.

Emirates Airbus A350

Also on display from Monday to Wednesday will be an Emirates Airbus A350, the airline’s newest widebody type.

The A350 is part of an extensive fleet expansion for Emirates as it diversifies beyond its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets with a fuel-efficient aircraft suited to medium- and long-haul routes.

Airbus Helicopters brings the H160

Airbus Helicopters will exhibit the H160 throughout the show.

The twin-engine helicopter is one of Airbus’ newest rotorcraft, featuring advanced aerodynamics, reduced noise levels and a digital cockpit. It is designed for a wide range of missions, including offshore transport, emergency medical services, search and rescue and private aviation.

Defence showcase led by the RAF A400M

The Airbus Defence and Space presence at Farnborough will include a Royal Air Force A400M Atlas. The military transport aircraft will be displayed alongside two Jackal high-mobility reconnaissance vehicles.

The display comes shortly after several NATO nations, including the UK, launched a new initiative to explore a future multinational A400M fleet to support defence across Europe.

Uncrewed systems take centre stage

Airbus will also showcase an extensive portfolio of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) aimed at defence and security customers.

The display will include:

  • U010 Aliaca
  • U050 Capa-X
  • U680 Bird of Prey
  • U760 Ravenstorm
  • U145

The systems represent Airbus’ capabilities in autonomous operations for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as uncrewed platforms play an increasingly essential role in modern defence.

Space and future technologies

In addition to its aircraft displays, Airbus will maintain a presence in the show’s Space Zone in Hall 4 (Stand 4105), while its main hospitality and exhibition areas will be located at stands E009, E010 and E028.

Throughout the week, Airbus will also host dedicated media briefings covering next-generation wing technologies and Air Power capabilities, highlighting the company’s future development programmes.

With commercial aviation, defence, helicopters, space and autonomous systems all represented, Airbus’ Farnborough presence will give visitors a view of the manufacturer’s current production programmes and the technologies that will shape aerospace over the coming decades.
