March 10, 2025

Professional flight training provider US Aviation Academy is to bolster its fleet through 38 new Tecnam trainers, due to be delivered until Q1 2026, with options for an additional 52 units in 2026 and 2027.
Featuring around 165 aircraft spread across multiple US bases (including three in Texas), US Aviation Academy offers a variety of training programmes including private pilot, commercial and airline pathways. “The addition of Tecnam aircraft, known for their modern design and advanced performance, will enhance the academy’s training programmes and strengthen its ability to support airline and government pilot training contracts,” explained the OEM.
Aircraft on order include the Lycoming IO-360-powered single-engine, P2010 described by Tecnam as “ideal for IFR pilot training” through the combination of its “advanced avionics and exceptional handling”. Meanwhile, the Rotax 912SE-powered P2006T will also provide students with “multi-engine operating experience essential for comprehensive flight training”.
“The Pecnam P2010 and P2006T MkII are exceptional training aircraft that offer advanced avionics, reliability and the performance required for a comprehensive pilot training programme,” explained director of US Aviation Acaademy Scott Sykes. Tecnam managing director Giovanni Pascale Langer concluded: “We are proud to partner with US Aviation Academy in its mission to train the next generation of pilots with the most advanced and reliable aircraft available”.
