LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS) has been named as Europe’s first Embraer E2 family Authorised Service Centre, the Brazilian manufacturer has announced, following successful completion of the Polish Civil Aviation Authority’s authorisation and audit process.

Already an Embraer Authorised Service Centre for the ERJ-145 and first-generation E-Jet family, LOTAMS has maintained a MRO relationship with the airframer since 2012. Operating from  two technical bases at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport and Rzeszów-Jasionka’s Ulma Family Airport, it currently has five bays dedicated to E-Jet maintenance and “plans to add more to service Europe’s growing E2 fleet”.

“Our collaboration with LOTAMS spans decades and has resulted in millions of hours of high-quality work. Given this strong and enduring relationship with the Polish MRO, it is only fitting that LOTAMS becomes Europe’s first E2-qualified EASC. We warmly welcome LOTAMS and look forward to seeing E2 fleet maintenance checks carried out in the Polish capital” says Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & Support.

LOTAMS currently serves four of the world’s ten largest airlines and three of the four largest European airlines; a demand represented by the construction of another hangar in Rzeszów, due to be completed later this year.
