How to see the Red Arrows on their final flights of 2026

The Red Arrows‘ 2026 display season is entering its final weeks, but there are still plenty of opportunities to see the RAF‘s famous Hawk jets before they finish flying for the year.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team has a busy programme stretching from the Essex coast to Scotland, the Channel Islands and continental Europe before its final scheduled appearance at IWM Duxford in October.

The RAF’s official schedule lists the locations and dates when the team will perform. Displays can change due to weather, aircraft availability and operational requirements.

Here are the remaining opportunities to see the Red Arrows in 2026.

Red Arrows at Clacton Airshow 2026: Dates and viewing information

The next displays on the Red Arrows’ schedule are the Clacton Airshow on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 August.

The Essex seaside show offers spectators the chance to watch the team from the seafront as the aircraft perform their formation aerobatics over the water.

Friday is particularly busy for the team. After appearing at Clacton, the Red Arrows are also scheduled to head west for the Sidmouth Regatta and Airshow in Devon.

The RAF notes that the Red Arrows can perform two displays and several flypasts in a single day, operating from different airfields around the UK and overseas.

Red Arrows at Southport Air Show 2026: Display dates and details

The following weekend brings two more opportunities to see the team.

The Southport Air Show takes place on 29 and 30 August, with the Red Arrows confirmed for both days.

The display takes place over Southport’s seafront. Organisers have yet to release exact flying times and advise visitors to follow the show’s social media channels for updates.

The weekend will also feature the RAF Typhoon, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and the RAF Tutor, alongside civilian display teams and historic aircraft.

When to see the Red Arrows at Ayr Air Show 2026

The team then travels to Scotland for the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on 4 and 5 September.

South Ayrshire Council has confirmed that the Red Arrows will fly on both days.

The first will be an evening display on Friday 4 September, followed by an afternoon display on Saturday 5 September.

The RAF Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, RAF Falcons and Tutor are also due to participate during the event.

Red Arrows Channel Island displays: Guernsey and Jersey

The Red Arrows then head to the Channel Islands.

They are scheduled for the Guernsey Air Display on Wednesday 9 September, followed by the Jersey International Air Display on Thursday 10 September.

The Channel Islands displays traditionally offer particularly good opportunities to see the team against a coastal backdrop.

Spectators should check the individual event websites closer to the date for confirmed display times.

Red Arrows return to Duxford

The Red Arrows will return to England on 12 September for the IWM Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show in Cambridgeshire.

Duxford provides a very different setting from the coastal shows, with the team’s modern Hawk T1s performing above one of Britain’s most historic aviation sites.

Final overseas Red Arrows displays of 2026

The final part of the season takes the Red Arrows back to continental Europe.

The Red Arrows head for Belgium for the International Sanicole Airshow on Sunday 13 September.

Sanicole Airfield is at Hechtel-Eksel in Belgium’s Limburg province.

The International Sanicole Airshow’s flying programme begins at 10:00 and continues until approximately 17:30. Sanicole holds two separate programmes that weekend. A Sunset 

Airshow takes place on Saturday 12 September from 17:00 to 20:15, followed by the main International Sanicole Airshow on Sunday.

The organisers say Sanicole attracts around 40,000 visitors each year, making it one of the largest remaining events on the Red Arrows’ 2026 schedule.

The Red Arrows are then scheduled to perform at NATO Days in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, on 19 and 20 September.

Finally, the team heads to France for the Le Touquet Airshow on 27 September.

The Red Arrows then return to Britain for their season finale.

Red Arrows season ends with Flying Finale at Duxford

The final scheduled public appearance of the Red Arrows’ 2026 display season is the IWM Duxford Flying Finale in early October.

The autumn show brings Duxford’s flying season to a close and gives spectators one final opportunity to see display aircraft before the winter.

Red Arrows winter training and Exercise Springhawk

After the display season finishes, however, the Red Arrows do not stop flying.

Winter training begins in October or November and continues through mid-March or early April. The team sometimes heads overseas to a location with favourable weather to perfect their displays – known as Exercise Springhawk.

During Springhawk, senior Royal Air Force officers evaluate the team to ensure they gain Public Display Authority. After being awarded the Authority, the team’s pilots change from green coveralls into red flying suits and the ground crew don their royal blue display coveralls.

The Red Arrows’ season then officially begins again, with a full schedule of performances to delight the public.
