easyJet encourages travellers to ‘Drop Everything’ with new 48-hour booking tool
easyJet is encouraging travellers to embrace spontaneity with the launch of a new booking feature that helps customers find flights departing within the next 48 hours.
The low-cost carrier has introduced ‘Drop Everything’ as a new option within its ‘Inspire Me’ platform, allowing travellers to browse ultra-last-minute flights across its European network. Travellers can find various flights departing within two days and refine results by budget, trip type and travel dates.
New search tool encourages spontaneous travel
The new search tool encourages travellers to book spontaneous getaways by shortening the time it takes to book flights. easyJet cited research published on Psychology Today, which found 72% of people report feeling happier after acting spontaneously.

The new flight inspiration feature makes it easier for travellers to swap routine for a quick escape, be it a city break, beach holiday or weekend trip.
“Sometimes the best trips aren’t the ones you’ve planned for months,” the airline states in its announcement. “Drop Everything flights help travellers swap routine for a sense of adventure with a quick getaway, making it easy to browse and book using easyJet’s Inspire Me tool, which already helps customers find the best breaks available for their budget and schedule.”
How easyJet’s ‘Drop Everything’ feature works
The new flight search functionality is available through easyJet’s ‘Inspire Me’ platform, which now has a “Within 48 hours” filter.

Travellers can:
- Search flights departing in the next two days.
- Set a maximum budget.
- Choose trip types, including city breaks or beach holidays.
- Browse destinations across easyJet’s network.
- Discover routes they may not otherwise have considered.
The tool reduces the time travellers would spend searching for last-minute options and simplifies the booking process.
Marketing campaign encourages people to ‘Drop Everything’
As reported by Little Black Book, easyJet is supporting the launch with a campaign created by digital agency DEPT®, which includes outdoor advertising, social media, influencer partnerships and location-based promotions. One campaign element featured a live stunt on Capital Breakfast radio in which presenter Siân Welby appeared to leave the studio mid-show after spotting a last-minute deal.

The campaign also includes Citymapper advertising and a live street gameshow in London, offering prizes including flights departing within 48 hours.
“Travel has always been filled with excitement. Our new campaign inspires customers to experience it in a brand new way – through ultra last-minute bookings,” Tom Hazelden, head of brand, planning and content at easyJet, told LLB. “We know spontaneous acts generate happiness, and we want to help make it even easier for people to be able to escape the everyday and enjoy a trip that creates memories for a lifetime.”
easyJet’s new booking tool helps boost load factors
The launch comes as airlines continue to seek ways to stimulate demand and fill remaining seats in the days leading up to departure.

Travel inspiration tools can help carriers monetise spare capacity by catering to travellers who enjoy flexible short breaks.
