Air Europa Líneas Aéreas, S.A.U., branded as Air Europa, is headquartered in Llucmajor, Mallorca and is the third-largest Spanish airline (after Iberia and Vueling). Air Europa flies to more than 44 destinations in Spain, the rest of Europe, Morocco, Tunisia, South America, the Caribbean and North America. The airline’s main hub is at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport with ‘focus city’ operations at Palma de Mallorca Airport and Tenerife North Airport.

Air Europa currently operates a 43 aircraft all-Boeing mainline fleet, with 23 more aircraft on order. The fleet includes 17 Boeing 737-800s, 11 Boeing 787-8s and 15 Boeing 787-9s (with three on order).

Air Europa has a lease-agreement for ten B737-8s with AerCap and also holds firm orders with Boeing directly for 20 more MAXs. The airline hopes to have 20 MAX aircraft in service by 2027, and these will be used to renew Air Europe’s narrowbody fleet.

Air Europa took delivery of its very first Boeing 737-8 (EC-OGS, c/n 62918) during a ceremony at Seattle-Boeing Field on 21 May 2025. The aircraft was leased from AerCap.

The 737 MAX left the USA that day and was ferried to Madrid-Barajas via Glasgow. The aircraft is expected to begin commercial flights on 23 June 2025, with the aircraft pencilled-in for flights to Amsterdam and Brussels from Madrid.
