Dubai-based Falcon is the first charter fleet operator to commit to multiple installations of Gogo’s Galileo HDX advanced antenna system, which will deliver fast, reliable  on board connectivity.

The initial purchase of five terminals, which was announced at EBACE this week, will be deployed on Falcon’s Bombardier Global 5000 and Global Express aircraft. Each aircraft will be fitted with the Galileo half-duplex ESA and AVANCE SCS systems. With its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the HDX currently in progress for the Bombardier Global family, Gogo expects to have this certification completed by the end of 2025.

Powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb constellation, Gogo’s inflight connectivity system delivers a download speed of up to 60Mbps and an upload speed of 11Mbps to ensure passengers can stay connected and productive throughout their flight. According to Aziz Turan, executive director Alex Jet, which Falcon operates under, customers expect “more than just connectivity; they want streaming-speed internet that travels with them.”

The installation of Galileo HDX, he added, gives a “competitive advantage in a dynamic global charter market and adds valuable operational advantages to crew,” who will benefit from real-time flight data, live weather updates and automatic system updates.”

Dave Falberg, SVP EMEA APAC, Gogo said the collaboration will enable Falcon to “fulfill customer demand for access to reliable enterprise-grade broadband globally.”  He also noted, “the antenna design adapts to the evolving connectivity landscape and simplifies management.” Falcon crews will have access to 24/7 multilingual technical support.
