Dubai Aerospace Enterprise to acquire 17 aircraft

Global aviation services corporation Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has announced it is to acquire 17 aircraft from “multiple counterparties” for a combined value of approximately $1 billion.
In line with DAE’s fleet modernisation initiatives, 100% of the aircraft portfolio (currently on lease to 11 airlines in ten countries) is comprised of next-generation aircraft. 89% are narrowbody, with 80% of the total manufactured by Airbus and the remainder by Boeing.
“Amid ongoing orderbook delivery delays, we are continuing to source attractive assets in the secondary market to meet our growth and portfolio management targets,” explained DAE chief executive officer Firoz Tarapore. “This transaction also allows us to further deepen our relationship with our global base of airline customers, and we welcome three airline customers back to DAE”.
In 2024, DAE acquired 83 aircraft (including 30 owned and 53 managed units), sold a further 68, and signed a definitive purchase agreements to acquire 33 aircraft from multiple counterparties for an aggregate consideration of US$1.6 billion.
