Embraer has announced the Phenom 300EV, marking the latest evolution of the light jet in 14 years.

Described by Embraer as the “world’s fastest, furthest-flying… and best-selling light jet”, the Phenom 300EV incorporates a series of performance and interior enhancements.

“For well over a decade, the Phenom 300 series has set the standard by which every light jet is measured,” said Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets.

He also referenced the unmatched performance, technology and comfort of the jet, which is equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, enabling the aircraft to execute a full automated landing in the event of pilot incapacitation.

What additional features can you expect with Embraer’s Phenom 300EV?

For additional safety and comfort, landings and take-offs benefit from class-exclusive Autobrake. The Embraer-developed Multi-Purpose Electronic controller (MEC) enables integrated rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled aircraft functions, which can contribute to reduced pilot workload and simplified maintenance.

Further enhancements include runway and taxi situational awareness based on Garmin’s 3D Taxiway Routing and Runway Occupancy Awareness (ROA), synthetic vision guidance systems (SVGS), Future Air Navigation System (FANS) 1/A, required navigation performance authorisation required 0.3, and inertial reference system (IRS).

Referencing the Phenom 300 series’ “undisputed position as the category leader”, Amalfitano added, “we are raising the bar once again”, with the new 300EV.

“Through purposeful innovations combining enhanced safety technology, amplified performance and thoughtful cabin refinements, we have introduced meaningful advancements that make flying more intuitive, seamless and enjoyable.”

Cabin refinements include fast connectivity and a redesigned refreshment area

The cabin refinements focus on functionality. A key feature is state-of-the-art worldwide connectivity via Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, enabled by Gogo Galileo. Starlink connectivity will also be available as an aftermarket solution. Meanwhile, performance updates include an extended range of up to 2,055nm. An increase in maximum zero-fuel weight adds around 430 pounds of payload capacity. True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries and LED taxi and landing lights support improved reliability and dispatch performance.

An odourless vacuum lavatory, redesigned refreshment area, and air ionisation system are other enhancements that will benefit passengers.
