Bartolini Air expands fleet with acquisition of eight Tecnam aircraft
December 6, 2024
Located at Lodz Airport in central Poland, Bartolini Air has agreed to purchase six additional Tecnam P2008JC and two P2006T NG twin-engine aircraft. The aircraft will be used for pilot training.
Already a long-term partner and operator of Tecnam, Bartolini will operate a total of 30 aircraft when the new additions arrive, of which 26 will be Tecnam aircraft.
In addition to providing private jet charter and management, aircraft sales and maintenance, Bartolini Air is also an EASA approved training organisation (ATO) and the largest pilot training centre in central Europe. With more than 200 cadets every year, it is one of only six official Ryanair partners within the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy.
Bartlomiej Walas, Bartolini Air CEO, revealed that the collaboration with Tecnam has always supported the development and quality of the cadets who leave Bartolini Air to fly under their own wings. “It is worth remembering that many of today’s pilots, who fly with many of us on business trips or holidays, took their first steps at the controls of Tecnam aircraft in our company.”
Future workforce
These additional purchases, Walas added, will allow the company to implement its expansion plan for 2025 and “increase the number of well-trained pilots who will be at the controls of Boeing 737s or Airbus A320s tomorrow.”
The launch customer of the P2006T, Bartolini Air credits Tecnam with offering a modern and efficient fleet solution, from single engine two-seaters for ab-initio training to twin engine aircraft for multi-engine piston and complex ratings.
Fitted with two Rotax 912iSc3 injected engines, the P2006T NG Next Generation features a modern Garmin avionics suite, integrating all the primary flight, navigation, communication and terrain data on two high-definition liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It is also equipped with two-axis autopilot for efficient multi-engine piston (MEP) complex training.
“The key to success for a flying school is to offer students modern aircraft with low operating and running costs, innovative design and Italian style,” said Walter Da Costa, CSO Tecnam. “Bartolini Air has proven how to innovate flight training and set new standards.”
