Air Astana Group reports strong passenger growth in 2024

March 14, 2025

Air Astana Group experienced substantial growth in 2024, with a significant rise in passenger numbers and revenue.
The airline group – the largest in Central Asia and the Caucasus, operating on 94 routes across 21 countries – carried 9 million passengers across its two brands – an increase of nearly one million compared to 2023 – reflecting robust demand and capacity expansion.
This surge in passenger traffic contributed to a strong financial performance, with total revenue and other income, excluding one-time items, increasing by 12.4% to $1.3 bn, up from $1.2 bn in the previous year.
“We achieved strong growth in our first year as a public company, fulfilling our promises set out at IPO despite the capacity and cost challenges impacting the wider industry,” said Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana Group.
“Entering the new financial year, we are well positioned to deliver growth across both our brands, underpinned by strong demand and expanded capacity.”
