E-Jets, orders and EVE: What to expect from Embraer at Paris Air Show

Embraer doesn't plan to bring any business jets, but its commercial and defense lineup is comprehensive.

What to expect from Embraer at Paris Air Show

Aerospace manufacturer Embraer has disclosed its plans for the forthcoming Paris Air Show, including aircraft on display and more.

“We are very happy to be at the Paris Air Show again, since Le Bourget has been Embraer’s home for over 40 years,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO at Embraer. “We are ready to contribute even more with our European partners in the field of civil aviation and defense capabilities as well as industry, technological development and innovation.”

Whether you’re attending or following along from home, here’s what to expect from Embraer at the Paris Air Show 2025.

What aircraft is Embraer bringing to Paris Air Show 2025?

Embraer will have a strong showing at Paris Air Show with static displays of aircraft from its commercial and defence arms.

On the commercial side, the largest of its regional jets, the E195-E2, will be on static display throughout the event. Embraer says the ‘Profit Hunter’ will also be involved in the flying displays.

For defence, Emrbaer is bringing its versatile multi mission airlift and tanker aircraft, the KC-390 Millennium. As with the E2, Embraer will also participate in the flying displays with the KC-390.

Rounding out its on-display products is the A-29 Super Tucano, Embraer’s light attack and advanced trainer. Known for its affordability, ruggedness and low maintenance requirements, it’s already in operation from the Philippines to Ecuador, and Emrbaer will be hoping to attract a few more customers at the show.

The planemaker hasn’t said it will bring any of its business jet products to the show

EVE brings updates about its eVTOL development

Embraer’s subsidiary EVE will also have a strong presence at the show, and promises an update on its in-development aircraft programme.

The manufacturer doesn’t indicate that the full scale model of EVE will be at the show, but we can expect to see the cabin mockup at Embraer’s chalet, potentially with some exciting virtual reality technology too.

As well as updates on the aircraft development milestones, EVE is expected to provide new details on services, operations and air traffic management solutions.

Will Embraer get any orders at Paris Air Show 2025?

Embraer has already indicated there are deals in the works for the show.

On the opening day, a customer announcement is scheduled, with a defence announcement to follow the day after. No details on the customer or type of order have been revealed.

There’s plenty of chatter about Indian giant IndiGo seeking a regional jet solution, and indeed about the need for new regional jets in India and Asia in general. There are plenty of contenders, large and small, who may be eyeing up Emrbaer’s efficient aircraft for their feeder and regional routes.

On the defence side, the C-390 has been gaining traction around the world, securing orders from Portugal, Hungary, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden and many more. As more NATO allies look to refresh their light transport capabilities, the affordable and reliable C-390 could pick up a new customer or two.

The question on everyone’s mind, as always, is what about a new narrowbody aircraft? Embraer executives have been tight lipped at every encounter with the media to date – could Paris be the platform that’s timed right for the Brazilian company to make an announcement?
