Embraer Praetor 500E receives triple certification ahead of schedule
Embraer has secured simultaneous certification for its new Praetor 500E business jet from Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), clearing the aircraft for operation across the three critical business aviation markets.
The announcement just two months after the larger Praetor 600E achieved the same triple certification, completing regulatory approval for Embraer’s next-generation Praetor family well ahead of the manufacturer’s original timeline.

“The Praetor 500E builds on the strengths of the Praetor platform, a category leader in performance and technology, now enhanced with a next-generation cabin experience,” said Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “With this impressive milestone, we are well positioned to produce this aircraft for customers worldwide. We remain focused on delivering the ultimate experience to our customers.”
Global approval opens key markets
Triple certification means the Praetor 500E has met the safety and performance requirements of three major aviation regulators, allowing operators to register and fly the aircraft throughout Brazil, the United States, and Europe without requiring additional type validation.
The certification follows the aircraft’s unveiling in February 2026 alongside the Praetor 600E as the first major evolution of Embraer’s successful Praetor business jet family.
Praetor cabin gets major upgrade
While the Praetor 500E retains the proven performance of the existing Praetor 500, Embraer has focused its redesign on the passenger experience.

The customizable cabin by Embraer features:
- Newly designed Embraer seats
- An upgraded cabin management system
- Improved connectivity and productivity features
- A refreshed cabin interior with enhanced comfort
Unlike the larger Praetor 600E, the 500E does not receive the optional 42-inch 4K OLED Smart Window introduced on its super-midsize sibling, but it shares the same emphasis on digital cabin technology and passenger comfort. Future aircraft owners can configure their own private jet online through the aircraft manufacturer’s design portal.
Performance and safety capabilities
The Praetor 500E offers a range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, enabling nonstop routes like Miami–Seattle and Los Angeles–New York.
The aircraft also benefits from increased payload capability and strong short-field performance.

The advanced avionics suite offers full fly-by-wire controls, active turbulence reduction, the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS), and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS).
Deliveries remain scheduled for 2029
Although certification has been completed ahead of schedule, customer deliveries are still expected to begin in 2029, alongside the Praetor 600E.
The early regulatory approval allows Embraer to move into production planning and customer completion work with reduced programme risk while continuing to build momentum for its refreshed business jet portfolio.
Embraer has reported strong early market interest in both updated aircraft since their launch earlier this year.
