Archer Aviation is on-track to complete its high-volume manufacturing facility by the end of the year, supporting production of up to 650 Midnight eVTOL aircraft annually.

With the first phase of the 40,000 square feet build completed earlier this year (including grading and foundation work), the company is nearing completion of phase two, comprising the erection of the exterior walls and roof. Phase three (the interior fit out) and phase four (equipment load in and power on) are “on track to be completed in the coming months,” states Archer.

The factory – being built in “close partnership” with manufacturing partner Stellantis – will support the production of up to 650 aircraft a year, making it one of the largest manufacturing facilities by volume in the aviation industry. The two partners will also collaborate on the ramping-up of unit production, with Archer CEO and founder Adam Goldstein explaining: “Our goal is to be the first in the eVTOL industry to achieve scaled manufacturing”.
