Seventh C-390 Millennium joins Brazilian Air Force
Embraer has delivered its seventh C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft to the Brazilian Air Force.
The C-390 Millennium has become a cornerstone of the Brazilian Air Force’s operations, undertaking a wide range of both military and humanitarian missions.
“Over the past five years, the C-390 Millennium has demonstrated operational qualities, reliability, and versatility, performing the most demanding missions anytime, anywhere, with the Brazilian Air Force. With the delivery of this brand-new aircraft, we are proud to contribute even more to the operational success of the FAB’s missions,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, president and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.
Since entering service in 2019 with the Brazilian Air Force, the C-390 Millennium has showcased its versatility, from delivering emergency supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic to participating in international exercises, performing aerial refuelling, and supporting firefighting efforts.
The aircraft’s capacity to handle a wide range of roles—from cargo transport and medical evacuations to search and rescue operations—highlights its importance as a strategic asset.
The C-390 can also perform tasks such as peacekeeping, disaster management, and air-to-air refuelling, demonstrating its adaptability across military and civilian operations.
The C-390 has been selected by Portugal, The Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, and South Korea, and the current C-390 fleet has logged over 14,000 flight hours.
