On 18 February 2025, Air Lease Corporation announced that it has signed an agreement with Qanot Sharq Airlines for the lease of five Airbus A321neos. These will consist of three A321XLRs and two A321neoLRs, and will be new-build aircraft from ALC’s existing orderbook.
Qanot Sharq is an airline based in Uzbekistan. It made its first passenger flight on 14 October 2021 flying from Tashkent International Airport to Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport. Since then, it has expanded its services and is currently flying to more than 20 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and East Asia from Tashkent and Samarkand. The current Qanot Sharq fleet consists of two A320s, two A321neoLRs, and three A330-200s.
