Peacocks over Sakhir

The Sarang Helicopter Display Team began their journey to Sakhir Airbase in Bahrain on 3 November. They lifted off from Sulur Airbase the following day, packed aboard two of the Indian Air Force’s C-17A Globemaster III transports. The Sarang (Peacocks) team operates four peacock-coloured HAL ALH helicopters.
The team forms the backbone of No.151 Squadron, and is equipped with the HAL Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter.
