Paris Air Show: MNG Airlines orders Airbus A350F freighters

Turkish logistics provider MNG Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus to acquire the all-new A350 freighter.
MNG has committed to two of the type with this MOU, becoming the latest customer to support Airbus’ move into the cargo space.
“This move strengthens our position across key trade lanes, including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and a growing footprint in North America,” says CEO of Mapa Group and Chairman of MNG Airlines Murathan Doruk Günal. It will support both our scheduled and charter operations and give us added flexibility to meet evolving cargo demands, from e-commerce to high-value freight and express logistics.”
It’s the second order of the show for the A350F, after AviLease signed for 10 of the type on Monday.

Airbus A350F orders are creeping towards 100
Airbus had received 74 firm orders for the A350F by the end of May, including 10 from Etihad and Starlux, eight from CMA Air Cargo and seven from Singapore Airlines.
With the additional two from MNG and 10 from AviLease signed at the show, that should bring the total to at least 86 commitments, nudging the program close to the century.
Airbus says the A350F can carry up to 111 tonnes with a range of 4,700 nautical miles. Like the A350 passenger aircraft, it offers significant fuel savings over previous generations of jets, as well as the associated refduction in CO2 emissions.
The A350F is 46 tonnes lighter than its competitors and will feature the industry’s largest cargo door. It’s been designed to meet ICAO’s 2027 CO2 standards, and by he time it enters service, it will be compatible with a 50/50 blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with a target for 100% by 2030.
The type is expected to enter service in the second half of 2027.
