Deutsche Aircraft, makers of the advanced regional aircraft the D328eco, has selected Aernnova as the supplier of its empennage.

The announcement of the onboarding of the supplier was made on the fourth day of the Paris Air Show, just weeks after Deutsche Aircraft rolled out the D328eco for the first time.

Aernnova is a specialised designer, manufacturer and supplier of aerostructures including wings, empennage, fuselage bulkheads, doors and moving surfaces.

For Deutsche Aircraft, it will deliver build-to-print assemblies of its composite empennage, including the horizontal and vertical stabilisers. The structures will be built using advanced composite technologies, taking weight off the aircraft for optimal efficiency.

Alongside the empennage, the company will supply the tail cone for the aircraft, which is a metal part.

“We are proud to contribute to the D328eco programme,” says Richard Chocarro, CEO of Aernnova. “We value the opportunity to support a next-generation regional aircraft that combines versatility with an innovative design.”

All partners for serial production of the D328eco have now been selected

With this announcement, Deutsche Aircraft has selected all its suppliers for the primary structure of the D328eco, marking a critical step in progress towards serial production.

Key suppliers already announced include Pratt & Whitney Canada for the engines, Latecoere for the doors, Bucher Leichtbau for galleys and partitions, and Elbe Flugzeugwerke for the floor panels.
