Archer Aviation unveils full details of its proposed Miami metropolitan area air taxi network
December 3, 2025
Archer Aviation, the developer of the Midnight eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) air taxi, has unveiled more details for its Miami metropolitan air taxi network.
The newly unveiled plans combine newly-built vertiports as well as existing landing sites to create a citywide network for eVTOL aircraft.
Archer Aviation’s Midnight aircraft is a piloted aircraft designed to carry four passengers and perform high-frequency journeys with minimal charge time between flights, which the company says is ideal for built-up urban communities such as Miami, where traffic congestion can be a significant inhibitor to growth.
Archer Aviation eyes Miami for its next eVTOL network
With its new network, Archer Aviation is aiming to connect the major population and business centres of the greater Miami conurbation. These will include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
Archer Aviation states that these four major centres will be linked via short, 10 – 20-minute eVTOL flights, and that such flights will allow travellers to bypass ground-based traffic congestion, using its soon-to-be-certified Midnight eVTOL aircraft.
Archer says that these flights will “unlock a new mobility ecosystem in the air that is safe and efficient.”

In addition to linking these four major centres, Archer is also planning network links with the area’s three primary airports, including Miami International Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).
Other strategically important general aviation airports in the area will also be linked to decrease transfer times while also reducing the amount of traffic on the region’s road infrastructure.
Partnerships will expedite the Miami eVTOL network rollout
Combining with property development, infrastructure and real estate partners across the region, Archer says that these partnerships will work on developing the existing helipad network as well as building a series of newly constructed dedicated vertiports.
According to the company, the new network will “transform how residents and visitors move across one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.”
For example, West Palm Beach real estate developer Related Ross plans to partner with Archer to develop a vertiport within its under-construction West Palm Beach downtown development. The company says it aims to “create a new premium mobility hub in the region’s fastest-growing commercial centre.”

Meanwhile, Archer also intends to collaborate with Dragon Global, a private investment firm based in Miami, Florida, which invests in both venture capital and real estate projects.
Dragon Global’s Magic City Innovation District in Miami’s Little Haiti area plans to develop a vertiport site to bring air taxis to one of Miami’s largest mixed-use technology and innovation communities.
Elsewhere within the Miami metropolitan area, both the Hard Rock Stadium and the Apogee Golf Club have said they are ready to adapt existing helipads to handle the next generation of eVTOL aircraft, such as Archer Aviation’s Midnight.
The Hard Rock Stadium is one of the region’s premier sports and entertainment destinations and is home to the Miami Dolphins NFL team, the University of Miami Hurricanes, the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, the Miami Open, and several other major global events.

The Apogee Golf Club is one of the US’s most prestigious golf clubs that features three 18-hole courses, with each being designed by some of the world’s most renowned golf course architects.
“Miami has never been afraid to bet on the future,” said Francis Suarez, the Mayor of Miami, commented. “We’re a city that attracts visionaries, embraces breakthrough technology, and turns bold ideas into real impact.”
“For years, I have worked with Archer as they have advanced a vision for an air-taxi network that will elevate Miami’s position as a global capital for innovation and mobility. What they are building is not just transformational transportation; it embodies the Miami mindset: we lead, we innovate, and we redefine what is possible,” he said.
Archer’s partners in full support of Midnight flights in 2026
Steven Ross, CEO and Chairman of Related Ross, added that the company’s partnership with Archer will accelerate the development of the South Florida region’s connectivity.
Integrating Archer’s eVTOL across its locations in the region will improve access to key locations, he said, adding that, “We’re excited to embrace a forward-thinking vision that transforms how people and businesses move across the region.”

Meanwhile, Bob Zangrillo, Founder of Dragon Global and a partner in the Magic City Innovation District, said, “The Magic City Innovation District was designed as a next-generation hub for technology, culture, and mobility.”
“By partnering with Archer to integrate an entirely new layer of transportation, [we are embracing] an air mobility network that connects our district with the broader region and advances a multimodal, future-ready transportation ecosystem for South Florida.”
Archer gradually gains a global foothold
With the launch of its Miami-based network, Archer Aviation is slowly gaining a firm grip on global cities that wish to be at the forefront of eVTOL evolution. The company has been busy in recent months agreeing deals with other cities that, if all goes according to Archer’s plan, will see public passenger eVTOL flights in 2026.
In November at this year’s Dubai Airshow, Archer told AGN that Abu Dhabi will become the company’s “second home” in the near future and should see public eVTOL flights in 2026.
Supplementing its commitment to the UAE, Archer also said that Abu Dhabi will become the first place anywhere globally that the Midnight eVTOL passenger aircraft will be built outside of the United States.

Also at the Dubai Airshow 2025, Archer signed an exclusive tripartite deal with The Helicopter Company and Red Sea Global that will facilitate the rollout of eVTOL operations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2026.
The deal, signed at the Dubai Airshow, will focus on the development, testing, and potential integration of Archer’s eVTOL aircraft into RSG’s operations as one of the first deployments of eVTOL aircraft in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Yet, ever before the doors of the Dubai Airshow opened, Archer was busy making deals that would see its Midnight aircraft take to the skies outside of the US.
In October, Korean Air signed an exclusive agreement with Archer Aviation to commercialise its Midnight aircraft in South Korea.
Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding, Korean Air plans to purchase up to 100 Midnight aircraft for deployment across a range of government and commercial applications.
The collaboration supports South Korea’s ambition, announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in 2022, to make eVTOL operations a national priority.
