An Air Busan Airbus A321, preparing for departure to Hong Kong, caught fire at Gimhae International Airport on Tuesday night. All 169 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated via inflatable slides.
The fire reportedly started in the tail section of the aircraft although the cause is currently under investigation. Emergency services responded promptly, extinguishing the flames and ensuring the safety of all onboard.
This incident comes just a month after a tragic accident involving a Jeju Air flight, which crashed during an emergency landing at Muan International Airport, resulting in the deaths of 179 of the 181 occupants.
