1,000th Gulfstream wing produced in Savannah
December 5, 2024
Since bringing production to its Savannah facility in 2012 – where all wings for the G800, G700, G50ER, G600, G500 and G400 models are currently produced – Gulfstream has built 1,000 wings at the site to date, described by Gulfstream president Mark Burns as “a testament to how advanced [its] technology, production and design processes have become”.
Burns also cited the “enhanced operational efficiency and the flexibility of… in-house manufacturing facilities” as being key to streamlined production, with an expanded production area (including a dedicated G400 production and wing line) further helping to “continue to deliver the utmost in quality and innovation”.
The 1,000th wing shipset will be installed on a G600.
