In line with its planned fleet expansion, Poland-based Smart Aviation has agreed to purchase three Tecnam P2006T NG twin engine aircraft.
Fitted with Rotax 912iSc3 injected engines, the aircraft will be used for pilot training and multi crew cooperations course/ Jet orientation course modules.
As a training academy specialising in teaching aspiring pilots wanting to fly for major airlines, Smart Aviation currently operates a fleet of 14 Tecnam aircraft, comprising seven P2008-JCs, four P2006T, one P2002-JF, one P2002-JR and one P-Mentor.
“Our decision to invest in the latest Next Generation P2006T was based on the increasing demand for flight training in Europe and because it is one of the best trainers equipped with the most advanced avionics,” said Mateusz Dzialynski, CEO and head of training at Smart Aviation.
The investment in the two new aircraft will see Smart Aviation’s fleet benefit from the next generation version of the P2006T, which Tecnam says offers “unbeatable value and innovative design.” It features a Garmin avionics suite, integrating all primary flight, navigation, communication and terrain data on two high-definition liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It is also equipped with two-axis autopilot for efficient multi-engine piston (MEP) complex training.
