Modi thanks Indian Air Force

May 14, 2025

Modi lauded their courage, determination, and unwavering commitment to the nation, and said that India would be eternally grateful to its armed forces for everything they do for the nation.
“Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness,” Modi said.
The Indian Ministry of Defence has said that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has: “successfully executed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor with precision and professionalism. Operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with National Objectives.”
Since the Operations are still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course. The IAF urges all to refrain from speculation and dissemination of unverified information.
The Indian Armed Forces has released visual evidence of the airstrikes, showcasing extensive damage inflicted on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and in Pakistan and, and later on Pakistani military infrastructure, including airfields at Nur Khan and Sargodha, and a surface-to-air missile site at Karachi’s Malir Cantonment.
It has been suggested in some quarters that the fact that Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations contacted his Indian counterpart to initiate a ceasefire indicated an Indian ‘victory’.
