Aftermarket company Fokker Services Group is building a wide-body aircraft hangar in Woensdrecht, in the Netherlands.
The 87-metre by 86-metre construction will accommodate aircraft such as Airbus A330, Airbus A350 and Boeing 777, and will be equipped with floor heating and cooling systems.
The hangar is part of a larger expansion plan, which includes hiring new colleagues, a second new wide-body hangar and extending workshop spaces at Fokker Services Group’s global facilities.
Expansion
“This new hangar is the latest development in our company-wide growth plan,” said Roland van Dijk, Co-CEO of Fokker Services Group.
“With this investment we are making a long-term commitment to our colleagues, customers, suppliers and the local community.
“As the markets for wide-body maintenance and VIP completions continue to grow, this modern hangar extension allows us to support new and existing customers for the years to come.”
