Emirates has unveiled a new Airbus A380 livery inspired by the Emirates Airline Foundation’s humanitarian work and intended to highlight the non-profit charity organisation’s efforts to transform the lives of children around the world.

The new A380 livery features children’s artwork including green, orange, blue and pink pastel stars and the message “Help to support children in need.”

The A380’s four engine nacelles are painted in a warm shade of orange “symbolizing a better future for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children that the Foundation supports.”

Over the last twenty years, the Emirates Airline Foundation has supported more than 50 projects, funded by generous donations made onboard by passengers and crew, and online by Emirates customers, donors and employees. The foundation currently supports 14 NGOs in nine countries, and mainly focuses its efforts on locations that are also Emirates destinations, allowing employees to volunteer and help.

The foundation has partnered with numerous community-based organisations and NGOs to deepen their work and serve the critical developmental needs of children for safe housing, food and medical care, and empowerment through education and capacity development, irrespective of geography, background, political associations or religion.

The A380 involved returned to service with its new livery on 31 August 2024, following maintenance. It made its first flight in its new guise on 2 September, flying to Johannesburg in South Africa where the airline’s foundation supports two projects.  .

The foundation supports the Fikelela Children’s Centre in South Africa, helping children who live with HIV AIDS. The foundation also supports St Marcellin’s Children’s Village in neighbouring Zimbabwe, providing vital resources for orphaned and homeless children.

Emirates now operates five A380s in special liveries. These include A6-EEP in the Emirates Airlines Foundation livery, A6-EES, A6-EEU, and A6-EOT in Destination Dubai livery and A6-EOE in Wimbledon Official Partner livery.
