Airlines are cautiously resuming services to the Middle East just as the conflict in Gaza intensifies once again.

British Airways is set to restart operations to Tel Aviv this weekend, with seats on sale for the resumed five-hour connection using an A321neo.

At the same time, Emirates is ramping up its presence in Lebanon, reinstating a second daily flight between Dubai and Beirut starting 1 April.

The additional Beirut service, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, will add over 5,000 weekly seats, catering to what the UAE carrier said was rising demand. Flight EK957 will depart Dubai at 07:30, arriving in Beirut at 10:35, with EK958 returning at 12:05.

The move signals cautious optimism as regional travel resumes, despite ongoing instability.

The first United Airlines flight from Newark, New Jersey, landed at Ben Gurion Airport in March, and Ryanair and Delta have also returned.

For now, airlines appear to be balancing commercial necessity with geopolitical risks.
