The Air Astana Group has reached a fleet milestone, with the number of aircraft growing to 60 aircraft following the arrival of a new Airbus A320neo in Almaty.

The full-service carrier, Air Astana, now operates a fleet of 35 aircraft, while its low-cost subsidiary, FlyArystan, has expanded to 25 aircraft.

Both carriers have experienced rapid growth, with a focus on adding the latest generation Airbus A321LR and Airbus A320neo types.

FlyArystan, which provides low-cost services, is also significantly growing its route network, offering more options across Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

In addition, the carrier is expanding its long-range services to destinations including Georgia, China, and the Middle East.

The Air Astana Group fleet is due to expand further in the next few years, with the total reaching 80 aircraft by 2028.

“Expanding our fleet to 60 aircraft is a significant milestone for Air Astana Group and an important step towards accomplishing our strategic plans,” said Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana Group.

“We will continue to invest in modern aircraft and expand our route network, offering passengers even more opportunities for convenient and affordable travel both within the region and beyond”.
