Etihad will launch daily Airbus A380 flights from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok

The airline’s A380 aircraft will operate on Etihad’s evening daily service between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Bangkok (BKK). In its announcement, Etihad states that the A380’s launch, timed for the peak winter travel season, will support strong air travel demand between Thailand, the Middle East and Europe.

Bangkok A380 flight schedule from 25 October 2026 – all times local:

“We’ve seen huge excitement around where our next A380 would fly – and Bangkok has been one of the most requested destinations. It’s a city that blends energy, culture and world-class hospitality, making it the perfect match for our flagship aircraft,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways.

“With the A380 flying to Bangkok, we’re offering greater choice and significant additional capacity on one of our most popular leisure routes. Guests can immerse themselves in Thailand’s beaches and vibrant city life, or choose to extend their trip with a stopover in Abu Dhabi – turning one holiday into two and discovering everything our home city has to offer.”

Eithad’s Airbus A380 accommodates 484 passengers in four classes, offering a comfortable passenger experience throughout.

There are 405 roomy economy class seats on the main deck. The 18.95″-wide Weber 5751 seats are arranged 3-4-3 across four cabins. The 337 standard economy seats are set 31” apart. The 68 Economy Space seats in the forward cabin offer an additional four inches of legroom. Each seat reclines 6” and offers a “fixed wing” camel leather upholstered headrest, which is 4-way adjustable, as well as adjustable lumbar support.

The unique headrest “wing” provides passengers with a place to rest their heads while sleeping, rather than on a fellow passenger’s shoulder. The airline also provides pillows.  In-flight entertainment can be enjoyed on an 11.1″ touchscreen display, and there are Universal AC and USB-A power outlets to charge personal electronic devices.

The airline offers bassinet facilities for those travelling with babies in the bulkhead centre seats located in the front row of each economy class cabin.

First Apartment suites can access a shared shower located in the forward cabin.

The Lobby, a self-service lounge and bar, is located behind the First cabin. It features Poltrona Frau leather-upholstered sofas arranged in a circle with a 27.6″ diameter marquetry table at the centre, and a 32″ TV.

Etihad A380 Business Studios
