Business jet boom drives surge in Embraer deliveries

July 3, 2025

Embraer delivered 61 aircraft across its commercial, executive, and defence divisions during the second quarter of 2025 – a 30% increase on the same period last year and more than double the volume shipped in the first quarter.
The figures, announced by the Brazilian airframer, were driven by a particularly strong performance in its executive jet segment, where 38 aircraft were delivered.
This was up 41% compared to Q2 2024 and 65% higher than the first quarter of this year.
Embraer deliveries up but guidance is unchanged
Commercial aviation deliveries held steady year-on-year at 19 aircraft, but surged 171% over Q1 2025.
The company also handed over four A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft within its Defence & Security unit.
Embraer’s delivery guidance for 2025 remains unchanged, with the company forecasting between 77 and 85 aircraft in its commercial aviation segment, which would represent a mid-point growth of around 10% compared with 2024.
In executive aviation, it expects to deliver between 145 and 155 jets, implying a mid-point rise of 15% year-over-year.

This week, Embraer announced that Scandinavian airline SAS had signed a firm order for 45 Embraer E195-E2 jets.
The airline includes options for a further 10, bringing the final fleet size to a potential 55 aircraft.
The deal is valued at around SEK37 billion (approximately $4 billion) and deliveries are set to begin in late 2027.
SAS CEO Anko van Der Werff described the order as a “defining moment” for SAS, noting that it’s the largest order the airline has placed since 1996.
Mexico welcomes the E2
On the other side of the Atlantic, Mexicana took delivery of a new E195-E2 aircraft, the first of Embraer’s next-generation regional jets to be placed with the airline and the first to operate with a Mexican carrier.
The aircraft departed from Embraer’s São José dos Campos facility in Brazil for Mexico, where it will begin operations as part of the national carrier’s push to boost domestic connectivity.
The E195-E2 is the first of 20 jets ordered by the state-run airline, comprising a mix of 10 E190-E2s and 10 E195-E2s.
