Boeing March 2025 orders & deliveries

Boeing had its best month for some time, taking orders for 192 aircraft (up from 36 aircraft in January and 13 in February), and also booking cancellations for 29 aircraft, while delivering 41 new aircraft, slightly down from January (45) and February (44).

Boeing has released its order and delivery figures for the third month of this year. In March 2025 (the third month of full production since last year’s strike), Boeing booked orders for 192 aircraft, had 29 cancellations, and was able to deliver 41 new aircraft. We can’t compare relative totals with Airbus, because (unusually) Boeing issued its figures first this month.

The 192 new orders were for 88 737MAX aircraft, 20 B777-9s, 20 B777Xs, 11 777Fs, 33 787-9s and a single 787-10. One fifth of these were from Korean Air which placed orders for 20 777-9s and 20 787-10s. Boeing’s over-reliance on the 737MAX seems to have disappeared for now, with orders for 85 of the companies widebodies alongside the 88 737MAX aircraft.

Some 50 of the 737MAX orders were placed by BOC Aviation, 17 by Japan Airlines and 21 by unidentified customer(s).

A total of 20 B777-9 orders were placed by Korean Air, while unidentified customer(s) accounted for the 20 B777X orders. Eight of the eleven 777F orders came from FedEx, with three more for unidentified customer(s).

The 33 787-9 orders were all placed by unidentified customer(s), while Korean Air ordered 20 787-10s.

The cancellations included 25 737MAXs by Qatar Airways, two 737MAXs by Unidentified customer(s), and two 777Fs were cancelled by Altitude II Tradeco.

March deliveries included 32 737MAX aircraft, four Boeing 777Fs and four 787-9s.

The 737MAX deliveries in February included single examples to the following airlines: Air India Express, Air Lease Corporation, Allegiant Air, Aviation Capital Group, China Southern Airlines, GOL Linhas Aereas, Jackson Square Aviation, and Oman Air.

Dubai Aerospace Enterprises and Allegiant Air, BOC Aviation, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, and Ryanair each took a pair of 737MAXs, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and BOC Aviation each took three 737MAXs, while Southwest Airlines and United Airlines each received six 737MAXs.

Boeing still hopes to reach a rate of 38 new-build MAXs per month — the current Federal Aviation Administration cap “later this year” and then to get FAA approval to go to an even higher rate (initially 42 aircraft per month) once production is meeting the mandated quality standards.

Alongside these 32 737MAX deliveries, Boeing delivered four Boeing 777Fs (one each to China Southern Airlines, CMA CGM, DHL Aviation Americas and FedEx). The four Boeing 787-9s delivered this month went to China Southern Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Qatar Airways and Scoot.

Normally, Airbus is always first in publishing its monthly results, but this time Boeing beat them to it!

Over the first quarter of 2025, Boeing has received 241 orders (while booking 37 cancellations), leaving a net total of 204 orders. The number of deliveries now stands at 130.
