Airbus April 2025 deliveries dip to 56 amid supply chain strains

May 8, 2025

Airbus reported 56 aircraft deliveries in April 2025, marking an 8% decrease compared to the same month in 2024. This brings the year-to-date total to 192 aircraft, a 5% decline from the previous year. Despite these reductions, Airbus maintains its target of delivering 820 commercial aircraft in 2025, representing a 7% increase over 2024.
The April deliveries included a mix of aircraft models:
- 3 A220s
- 22 A320neos
- 29 A321neos
- 1 A330neo
- 6 A350s
These aircraft were delivered to 33 customers, including Breeze Airways, ITA Airways, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and easyJet.
In terms of orders, Airbus secured 11 new aircraft orders in April, bringing the total for the first four months of the year to 291 gross orders, or a net of 215 after accounting for cancellations.
The company continues to face challenges with engine supply delays, particularly affecting the A320neo family. Airbus anticipates these issues will worsen in the current quarter before improving by summer.
Despite these hurdles, Airbus remains confident in achieving its 2025 delivery target, supported by a robust backlog of 8,658 aircraft and ongoing efforts to ramp up production rates.
