Lease Logic’s Fly Forward aims to transform aircraft leasing technology

October 8, 2025

Technology is reshaping aviation finance, and one of the newest entrants is Fly Forward®, a lease and asset management system built by Lease Logic specifically for aircraft lessors.
Dara Weston leads business development efforts for the company, bringing a unique perspective as a veteran who has experienced leasing from both sides: as a customer using technology to manage fleets and as a developer of software solutions.
Aircraft leasing technology designed for lessors, by lessors
Fly Forward was born out of frustration with legacy systems, as Weston explains.
“I’ve been on both sides of the table — as a lessor relying on technology to run a fleet, and as someone helping to build software solutions for lessors. That mix gave me a clear view of where systems deliver and where they fall short.”
The system’s strength, he explains, is its role as a connector. “Fly Forward was built by a group of leasing and technology experts with history at leading leasing companies who shared an understanding of the challenges. That ‘outside-in’ origin story is what makes Fly Forward so powerful.”

Rather than adding more complexity, the system unifies tools and data in one place. “We’re not adding complexity; we’re reducing it. Think of it as the great connector: a single portal where information from across your business can come together.”
Forecasting and profitability for lessors
For Weston, visibility is the top challenge. “Whether you own two aircraft or 650, the question is the same: Do I know what’s coming at me six, twelve, or twenty-four months out? Most legacy systems weren’t built to answer that. Fly Forward was built by lessors for lessors, and it solves the forecasting challenge first.”
He argues that the platform delivers measurable value across portfolios of any size. “One avoided mistake in forecasting, one smoother aircraft transition, one better-timed LOI decision, can generate meaningful savings. For a small lessor, it could mean protecting margins; for a large lessor, it could mean millions.”
Weston highlights the revenue-boosting features designed to make that possible:
- CRM and marketing modules, giving commercial teams real-time visibility on counterparties.
- Automated contract alerts to prevent revenue loss from expiries or compliance oversights.
- Technical event tracking and transition management to capture maintenance reserves.
- Finance tools for invoicing, reconciliation, and audit trails to accelerate cash collection.
The future of leasing systems
Weston believes the real shift is towards integration and automation, with AI set to drive the next wave.
“We have AI-driven initiatives in development that will bring real value to both contracts and technical teams. The goal is to help increase operational efficiencies.”

For C-suite decision-makers, Weston says the promise is straightforward: “Fly Forward gives lessors the visibility they’ve never had before: forecasting that works and a single portal to connect the business. For COOs and CFOs specifically, it brings the unmatched power to turn data into decisions, real-time forecasts, smarter cash management, and complete portfolio visibility in one platform.”
His mission, he concludes, is simple: “Lessors making faster, smarter decisions with complete confidence.”
