Ten H125s for Østnes Helicopters

Airbus Helicopters’ official distributor for the Nordic countries, Østnes Helicopters, has signed a deal for ten H125s to augment the more than 150 units operational in the region. The latest deal represents the latest chapter in a partnership spanning more than thirty years.
“Nordic customers require a truly versatile helicopter which can perform a wide range of missions,” said Frode Østnes, CEO of Østnes Helicopters; adding that “our customers in the region depend on these aircraft for essential missions” (which typically consist of utility and aerial work applications).
The H125 is the world’s most successful single-engine helicopter and we are happy that Østnes is strongly committed to supporting our ambition to expand our market share in the Nordic region,” commented Thomas Hein, head of Europe Region at Airbus.
Since its establishment in Norway in 1993, Østnes Helicopters has “established a strong presence in the rotorcraft sector in the region and has successfully sold more than 400 helicopters, both new and on the secondary market,” concluded Airbus.
