Vietnam Airlines and Expedia Group have announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU), expanding their existing relationship to a global scale.

The agreement will streamline the sale of travel bookings through the global online platform of one of the world’s largest travel companies.

The two parties intend to collaborate in areas of mutual interest to enhance customer experience, expand market reach, and increase revenue streams.

The agreement will see Vietnam’s flag carrier’s fares and inventory available on Expedia Group’s platform, ensuring real-time availability, accurate pricing, and seamless booking processes.

Vietnam Airlines will also be engaging Expedia Group Media Solutions to increase the airline’s brand awareness and promote its flights to Expedia Group’s global customer base.

“Vietnam Airlines is pleased to build on the existing agreement with Expedia Group to capture the robust growth of travel demand in the region. We are excited to expand our presence on a global scale and attract many more travelers around the world to explore the mesmerising destinations in Vietnam through our expansive network. This agreement will bring a better experience for our customers when flying Vietnam’s national carrier,” said Dang Anh Tuan, executive vice president, Vietnam Airlines.

“As travel recovery continues in Asia, Expedia Group is committed to expanding opportunities to experience this unique region,” said Greg Schulze, senior vice president, strategic travel partners at the travel group.

“Over the years, we have had a great relationship with Vietnam Airlines in select markets and we are proud to further expand upon that on a global scale. Together, we look forward to driving incremental growth and increasing its brand awareness around the world.”
