Boeing has released its order and delivery figures for October 2024. Due to the seven week strike by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers that brought production to a halt at Boeing’s factories in the Pacific North West, the number of delivered aircraft was just fourteen. This was less than half the number delivered in October 2023 (34) and represented the lowest monthly total since November 2020.

These October deliveries included of nine Boeing 737 MAX airliners, two each to Ryanair and Xiamen Airlines, and single examples to Akasa Air, China Eastern Airlines, Southwest Airlines, SunExpress Airlines, and United Airlines

These were augmented by a single Boeing 767-300F to FedEx and four Boeing 787s, two 787-10s to Air Lease Corporation and one to British Airways and one 787-9 to China Eastern Airlines. The Model 787 is built in North Charleston, South Carolina and its production was unaffected by the strike.

Boeing received orders for 63 aircraft in October, including ten Boeing 787-9s for LATAM Airlines, seven Boeing 777Fs for ‘unidentified customers’ and 46 Boeing 737MAX aircraft. These included 40 B737 MAX8s for the Avia Solutions Group and six for ‘unidentified customers’.
