Advanced Air Mobility company UrbanLink is to partner with Ferrovial Vertiports to explore the development of takeoff and landing sites in “key US markets,” with Lilium Jets to be among the first aircraft to use the new infrastructure.

The partnership will initially focus on the development of Ferrovial’s planned South Florida vertiport network, with the two companies to collaborate on the placement, operational planning and facility design. UrbanLink is currently looking to provide eVTOL operations in South Florida, Los Angeles and Southern California, and is poised to be the first US airline to integrate eVTOL aircraft into its fleet. The airline has already committed to purchase 20 Lilium Jets, with entry intro service expected by summer 2026.

“Our focus is on ensuring that an agnostic vertiport network is in place for operators like UrbanLink when eVTOLs gain certification,” commented Kevin Cox, CEO of Ferrovial Vertiports. “Connecting cities across South Florida will bring safe, efficient transportation options to the region and improve mobility”.
