February 4, 2025
Riyadh Aviation will be an official partner and sponsor of the LIV Golf league, which is launching its first event at the Riyadh Golf Club this week, and which claims to be “the world-class golf tournament that is transforming the sport.” The agreement will extend for several years, and will allow for international and regional promotion of the identity and brand of Riyadh Aviation through its presence in the stadiums, as well as benefiting from hospitality rights and appearance on global broadcast screens throughout the agreement period. The 2025 edition includes 14 events distributed across nine countries around the world, and broadcasting rights have been obtained on the Fox Sports Channel.
The partnership ceremony was attended by international golf stars, including Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Joaquin Niemann, and Jon Rahm.
Tony Douglas, the CEO of Riyadh Aviation, said: “We are excited to partner with LIV Golf, which has helped transform and develop golf globally. We believe that sport is a powerful tool to bring people together and inspire them, and we strive to deliver exceptional sporting experiences that enrich the audience’s experience locally and globally, while reinforcing our commitment to innovation and cultural and human connection. The presence of golf stars at Riyadh Airport alongside our first aircraft represents an opportunity to launch a new challenge that will be announced soon, highlighting our creative approach that integrates aviation and sports,” he concluded, stressing that “this step highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing the status of sport globally, while achieving a strong presence in front of a global audience, and reflects its vision to be a bridge between the Kingdom and the world.”
Scott O’Neill, the CEO of LIV Golf, said: “We are proud to start the 2025 LIV Golf season with an innovative and forward-thinking partner like Riyadh Air, who is committed to providing the best experience for fans and golf enthusiasts around the world. As partners, we have a bold vision and ambitious plans with a long path to success in the future.”
Riyadh Air, which will officially launch its services in 2025, is continuing to enhance connectivity to and from Riyadh. This new partnership adds to the list of partnerships with international sports clubs and federations, including Atletico Madrid, CONCACAF, and the Women’s Tennis Association. These partnerships demonstrate the company’s keenness to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by enhancing economic diversification and contributing to supporting the entertainment and sports sector.
