The H160 was the first member of the so-called Airbus H generation, and is positioned between the company’s H145 and H175 models. The H160 is an innovative high tech design, integrating as many as 68 different patents and incorporating enhanced safety features, increased passenger comfort, the Airbus-developed Helionix avionics suite for reduced pilot workload, a canted Fenestron tail rotor to confer a flat attitude in flight and a greater useful load and noise-reducing Blue Edge rotor blades for quieter operation.

Chipsan Aviation was established in 2009 as an aggregator of Business Jets. It was reconstituted as a private limited company in 2012 and became a Non-Scheduled Air Operator approved by India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation in 2017. The company bought its first helicopter with no investor backup, solely from the income generated over five years of line activity. Chipsan Aviation now owns and operates six helicopters (three single engined and three twin engine) and also manages aircrafts from various operators by inducting them on long term wet lease. The fleet includes two Airbus H145D3 on a dry lease, two Airbus H130 and an Airbus H135T2 on a wet lease and a separately managed Airbus H145D2.
