Eve and Signature Aviation to collaborate on eVTOL ecosystem requirements

Signature Aviation is to collaborate with Eve Air Mobility to better understand the requirements needed to integrate its Eve eVTOL aircraft into the world’s largest network of private aviation terminals.

Eve Air Mobility and FBO operator Signature Aviation are to partner on researching the ecosystem requirements and ground services necessary for the implementation of “safe, efficient and scalable advanced air mobility ground operations”. The potential for future commercial partnerships has also been alluded to as part of the memorandum of understanding.

“Eve and Signature will leverage the companies’ combined global presence and experience in servicing aircraft and creating seamless passenger experiences” said Luiz Mauad, vice president of services, operations solutions, strategic design and ecosystem at Eve Air Mobility. “Signature Aviation’s insight into ground services needs, local knowledge, private aviation terminal operations and passenger services will inform the procedures and ecosystem needed to accelerate preparations for eVTOLs to launch and scale”.

The two partners have also signed a letter of intent for Vector, Eve’s aircraft-agnostic urban air traffic management software. Eve believes this solution – which is currently “advancing towards an operational version” – will “support reliable, efficient and scalable fleet and vertiport operations, enabling operators to adapt as the industry grows”.

Having unveiled its full-scale engineering prototype in June 2024, Eve is looking to make the demonstrator’s inaugural (uncrewed) test flight early next year; preceding a targeted entry into service date of 2027.
