Self-styled “luxury premium leisure airline” beOnd Airlines is to welcome its second aircraft into service, augmenting the carrier’s exclusive offering with new capacity.

beOnd launched its scheduled passenger service in November with its specially-configured A319, fitted with 44 business-class seats in an all-lie flat configuration; operating services connecting its home base of the Maldives with Europe, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Asia.

Now, the airline’s second aircraft – featuring space for 68 passengers in beOnd’s signature all-premium class – will join its expanding network, “underscoring the confidence and belief in beOnd’s vision, potential, and success to date”.

“We are pleased that our second aircraft is now entering service,” commented beOnd chairman and CEO Tero Taskila. “Our new and returning customers will be impressed to see this stunning aircraft at their home airports, and they’ll be thrilled at the service from the start to the finish”.

As announced in August, the airline has recently become the first in the world to provide what it terms a “free flight guarantee;” offering to rebook customers with a different carrier in the “rare event of a flight disruption”. If a business class seat isn’t available with a partner island, beOnd will rebook customers in economy class and provide a 100% refund on the sector, or offer a complete refund plus an additional 20% value travel voucher.
