Alaska Airlines has introduced the only nonstop service connecting Alaska and New York JFK for the summer.
The daily service runs overnight from Anchorage to JFK before departing New York in the morning, landing in Anchorage at 1.30pm
The service is operated on board a Boeing 737-8, will be in operation until 19 August and, at 3,385 miles, is the longest route in the airline’s network.
Alaska Airlines regional vice president of Alaska Marilyn Romano said: “Alaskans love travel options and love them even more when they include nonstop flights.
“Our new service to New York JFK is a perfect addition to our flight schedule for Alaskans wanting some adventure in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, and for New Yorkers eager for new experiences in our great state.”
The new route means this summer the airline is operating 14 nonstop destinations from Anchorage to the rest of the US.
