Gulfstream claimed 50th and 51st city-pair speed records for its G700 business jet en route to the type’s Singapore Airshow debut. A G700 traveled 5,197 nautical miles/9,625 kilometers in 10 hours and 13 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90 between Los Angeles and Nice. For the Nice-Singapore leg, the ultra-large cabin jet covered 5,754nm/10,656km in just 11 hours and 30 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90.
The flights followed a record trip from Tokyo to Savannah in December 2023: 6,365nm/11,788km in 10 hours and 53 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.91.
Said Gulfstream president Mark Burns: “We are excited to return to the Singapore Airshow as we continue to see impressive business growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Demand for Gulfstream’s high- performance capabilities has never been greater.”
The G700 claims the most spacious cabin in business aviation and a higher-than-originally-announced performance with a maximum range of 7,750nm/14,353km at Mach 0.85 and 6,650nm/12,316km at Mach 0.90. With a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, the G700 is the fastest aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet.
