International co-operation, future battle space and adapting ideas from the private sector will be on the agenda for the opening day of FIA Connect.
Registration for the event – from July 13-15 2021 – is open now. FIA Connect is the world’s only major digital trade event for the aerospace and defence industries. The free-to-attend online event marks the second in a series developed by Farnborough International to bridge the gap between biennial Farnborough International Airshows – the next of which has been confirmed to take place in July 2022.
The event will be launched with opening remarks from Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International and Tony Wood, CEO of Meggitt and President of ADS from 9am-10am on July 13.
International co-operation and lessons from the private sect
The opening session will be followed by “The importance of international co-operation for future defence success” from 10am-11am. Learning lessons from the private sector to ensure a sustainable future for the industry will be next in Defence – ‘being a fast follower’ from 11.30-12.30.Day one will conclude with the Future of Space Security” from 3.30-4.30pm.
FIA Connect 2021 brings together three days of insight, debate and discussion from thoughtleaders and innovators from across industry, the government and academia, as well as facilitating business connections. The event will be broadcast by FINN – the Farnborough International News Network.
The event will host an expert line up of speakers from leaders across industry, government and academia including representatives from KPMG, IATA, Rolls-Royce, Deloitte, Microsoft, RAF, Ministry of Defence, and many more.
