Spanish company CRISALION Mobility is looking to transform how people travel with its ‘Integrity’ eVTOL, employing its patented ‘FlyFree’ system in a design different to many other competitors’ crafts.

With a full-sale prototype having already made the transition from hovering to forward flight, the aircraft is expected to enter into service in 2030, explained Óscar Lara, COO of CRISALION. The aircraft will be able fulfil a number of mission profiles (including cargo transportation, passenger flights, and emergency and medical services. This is one of “the main drivers in how it looks,” elaborated Lara, explaining that the Integrity’s configuration is very different from tilt-rotor or multicopter concepts. “This is our patented system and a real difference we have in respect to competitors,” he continued.

CRISALION will be able to carry one pilot and around five passengers across a 130km range, making it ideally suited to inter-urban as well as regional missions. Although the company is based in Madrid, the talent within its team spans the globe.

“We think that we have a unique value proposition to the market,” added Lara; citing his belief that despite multiple competitors, Integrity is eminently suitable to meet current market demands. CRISALION is currently working with EASA on the certification process, “but there are many different aspects we have to put together,” concluded Lara, adding that the ecosystem as a whole is also a key area of focus between now and the end of the decade.

He added: “We are a leading company in the design and development of advanced, efficient, safe, and sustainable electric mobility solutions. Our commitment is to change the way that the world moves and improve people’s quality of life, while contributing to the preservation of the environment.”
