The US Air Force has acquired a De Havilland Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft which will be deployed to Guatemala.

De Havilland debuted the Classic 300-G during the last Paris Air Show (in 2023) as the fifth generation of the Twin Otter. It combines advanced avionics, enhanced payload capacity and modern safety systems with short take-off and landing (STOL) performance, making it suitable and reliable for a wide range of missions.

“From humanitarian assistance and medical evacuation to troop transport and border surveillance, the Classic 300-G offers unmateched performance, versatility and reliability,” said Ryan DeBrusk, VP of sales and marketing at De Havilland Canada.

Used by more than 60 military and government operators worldwide and described by De Havilland as the “small utility aircraft of choice”, the Twin Otter is used to deliver essential services to remote and underserved regions.
