SAS announces extensive expansion from Copenhagen

SAS is to offer 15 new routes from Copenhagen as part of its summer 2025 programme, positioning the “attractive location in continental Europe” as its main hub for international travel.
Following the airline’s successful restructuring proceedings (completed in August this year), “SAS is emerging as a competitive and financially strong airline,” commented SAS CEO Anko van der Werff. “By enhancing Copenhagen as our main hub and expanding our network, we are boosting connectivity and driving economic growth not only in Denmark but across Scandinavia”.
Among the new routes will be a long-haul service to Seattle, running five times a week from 21 May 2025. The frequency of fifteen existing fifteen routes will also be increased. “Stockholm Arlanda, with more than 70 direct routes and 120 daily departures, will remain an important gateway for European and intercontinental travel,” reaffirmed SAS.
