Rolls-Royce inks $300m services agreement with JSX
In a deal valued at US$300m, Rolls Royce has agreed to provide JSX with a TotalCare and SelectCare 10-year service agreement for its 162-strong fleet of AE 3007A engines, which power the carrier’s fleet of 77 Embraer ERJ-145 and ERJ-135 aircraft.
“This is the largest ERJ fleet in the world and we’re proud to be able to give 10 years of TotalCare and SelectCare assurance to our customer JSX to support its ambitions,” said Piers Keywood, SVP Americas, Rolls-Royce.
Designed to provide operational certainty for customers by transferring time on wing and maintenance cost risk back to Rolls-Royce, the TotalCare service offering is supported by data delivered through the engine manufacturer’s advanced engine health monitoring system.
Under SelectCare JSX will be able to purchase an agreed number of shop visits with access to optional services to suit the operator’s need and risk profile.
As JSX looks to expand its public charter jet service to more communities, Jeff Simmons, JSX CFO said: “Maximising engine reliability is integral to the success of our business. We’re proud to work alongside a company as well-respected and globally admired as Rolls-Royce and are looking forward to a fruitful partnership.”
